WORDS FROM WALKERS

“You were so awesome to walk with and I’m blessed to have met you. Thank you for what you do.”Terri Gaertner, CURE Day of Caring, Denver, 2008

“You are a great teacher (content, energy level, connection with a large group). I’ve practiced my learning in my walks over the week. Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned.” —Mary Alice Brown Johnston, PhD, Willamette Valley Cancer Center, 2008

“I really loved the WVCC classes! Thanks so much for your inspiration, quotes, affirmation and humor! It was a pure delight to be there!”Linda Dorsey Royston, 2008

“I found our walks to be one of the most rewarding experiences of the weekend. You are a good teacher, no, a great teacher. I really had a feeling of opening up all my senses and it was so relaxing.” James Lasker, MD, Life Beyond Cancer Retreat – Miraval

“I have been “engulfing” your book this morning, and—before I even finish it—I want to let you know I am delighted and amazed at how your book resonates with my philosophy and experiences. Thank you for this wonderful gift to those of us who share your spiritual approach to walking!” Cleveland, OH

“Working with Carolyn was not only fun and motivational, but also pushed me to claim new areas of fitness that I did not know were available to me. Many fitness people talk about the integration of mind, body, and spirit in an exercise program, but Carolyn puts that philosophy into a practical teaching approach.”Susan Pohl, Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA

“Your walking program really clicked for me, especially the use of chants and visualization. I used to avoid hills, but now I'm chanting "I am strong, Yes I can" to get past the inner demon that wants to stop. It really works! And, the two inches off my hips (due to increased walking) doesn't hurt a bit either!” — Cheri Hughes, Dallas, TX

“Loved your book! Many great new ideas, and I loved your writing style also. I shall keep it near and refer to it as a reminder of my ‘better walking self’.”New York, NY
